About Us

Redeemer Grace Presbyterian Church is committed to:

Clear Bible teaching, especially the presentation of the good news of Jesus Christ as Saviour.

Living as Christ. We believe worship is more than a Sunday morning event. We encourage worship of God in all of life as we respond properly and obediently to God.

Genuine Relationships. We want to build and encourage deep bonds of love and unity among our people. We want to make a difference in our community through works of love, and always be ready to help anyone who is in need.

Our Purpose

To glorify God and fully enjoy Him.

We seek to do this by:

  • Worshipping God, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
  • Teaching God’s word so our people grow in mature faith.
  • Spending time with other Christians for our mutual development in holy living
  • Sharing the gospel with everyone.
  • Doing good deeds to others.

What We Believe

The Bible
The Bible tells us that God has revealed Himself in the Creation that is around us. This means that no-one has an excuse for not knowing that God exists. However, the Bible does give us a more complete revelation of who God is, what He has done and what He will do. This revelation is infallible and is the only true rule of faith and life. The Bible is God’s complete revelation for mankind.

The Trinity
The Bible teaches that there is only one God, but that God is at the same time three persons. The diagram below shows what the Bible teaches. This is not easily understood by us humans. However, if we could know and understand all about God then He would cease to be God.

Salvation
The Bible clearly teaches that men and women are born in sin. Sin is the attitude of opposition to God and His will. Evil deeds are the result of this hostility. This sin means that we come under the righteous judgement of Holy God. The punishment for this opposition or rebellion is eternal death.

However, God the Father sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be born on earth. Jesus lived all His life in obedience to God and died to pay for the punishment of those who believe and trust in Him.

God the Holy Spirit applies the work of Jesus Christ to believers so that they can have eternal life.

Prayer
The Bible teaches that God is a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God. Just as a good father delights to have his children talk to him, so God loves to have His people pray to Him. Since God is all knowing, all wise and all powerful, He knows what is best for His children and has a plan for us that He will fulfil. Therefore He answers our prayers as we ask according to His will. Through prayer we have seen people healed of many types of illnesses. We do not believe in demanding that God perform on our terms. Prayer is not a magical solution. Instead we trust that God, who is wise will answer our prayers, in His time, in His way and according to His perfect will.

Second Coming
The Bible teaches that The Lord Jesus Christ will physically return one day. Although the Bible supplies hints of when this will be, it also teaches that this return of Jesus Christ will be a surprise to most if not all of us.

When Jesus returns, those who have died will be raised to life and everyone will be judged by Him.
