Prayer Ministries

DEFINITION

The Prayer Ministry of Redeemer is a ministry of the church aimed at stimulating and facilitating corporate prayer for the work of the church, the needs of the nation, and the evangelization of the world.

The New Testament commands the church to devote itself to prayer (Col. 4:2). As a rule, however, churches (and especially those of Reformed persuasion) have been weak in the practice of corporate prayer. This is something that we want to correct in Redeemer.


CORE VALUES

  • Prayer - access to God our Father with boldness and freedom - is one of the greatest blessings God has provided for us within the covenant of grace.
  • It is not only the means of holding intimate fellowship with God, but it is his appointed way for us to lay hold of his power to accomplish his work.
  • Corporate prayer - people praying together - is expected and required of the church.
  • It is also a means of sustaining, broadening and encouraging prayer in the life of the individual Christian.
  • Prayer needs to be made for the church, the community, the nation and the world - not simply for personal and local interests.
  • Corporate prayer needs to be united, sustained, biblical, expectant and thankful.


    MISSION/PURPOSE

    The purpose of Redeemer's Prayer Ministry is to stimulate and facilitate all the members of the church in corporate prayer for the needs of the church, the community, the nation and the world.

    Information All are welcome. Kids Church (Sunday School) will run during the morning service.
